Daniel had a kind of tough transition back to daycare this week. Mommy spoiled him in New York last week by holding him every minute she could and when he got home, he really didn't want to be put down. But the daycare ladies have 7 other babies to take care of so it was rough on him. On Wednesday, Ms. Crystal called to say that he had a fever over 100. They do underarm readings there, so they have to add 1 degree. I'm doubting the temperature, but policy is policy. So despite Daniel having a temperature of 98.3 when we got home and then eating 4 tablespoons of cereal + 2 tablespoons of veggies + a whopping 10 ounces of formula...he and I stayed home "sick" on Thursday. But by Friday, he was happy at daycare, so alls well that ends well.
Except we were informed that Ms. Crystal's leaving the daycare. Her last day is next Friday. I'm sad about that. I really like her.
Daniel is sitting very well on his own now. He's also leaning, reaching, and pulling things toward him. Today he was sitting with his boppy pillow and he leaned forward and rolled to reach his pacifier. He now rolling over from his back to his tummy, but he gets his arm caught under him and it annoys him. He can also pull himself completely to a seated position while holding our fingers. We've talked about dropping the crib before he figures out how to pull himself up on the crib. Maybe we'll do that tomorrow.
