...and there's this duck that Ms. Joy puts water in...

Daniel started his new daycare on Monday and things are going very well. Things feel very structured, which we like. We were given a schedule of what the children in the class will do during the day. He will still eat and sleep when he wants until the kids get into a rhythm with each other. I am still spending a half-hour in the morning playing with him. But it now takes me longer to walk between my office and the car than it takes to drive to the center. That makes me very happy.

In the morning about 6 am, I am now putting Daniel back in his crib to allow myself a few minutes to brush my hair and teeth and get his stuff together. He pulls himself up to watch the pretty pictures on the TV. "Sunrise Earth" is a Discovery channel show that puts a camera in some corner of the Earth, like a geyser in Yellowstone or a shipping port in Turkey and lets it run for an hour. He's not as much watching TV as he is looking out the window at something 2000 miles away.

The TV he watches with us...Stargate Atlantis, Top Gear, Seinfeld, John Stewart, Colbert...not like looking out the window.

He also likes to look at the internet. Not that he understands any of it, but he finds the changing of the pages interesting.
