We sent Daniel to daycare with the cutest pair of brown overalls. Unfortunately, they were a little too warm. Despite Ms. Crystal generous applications of the magic diaper rash cure, his little bum just got redder. So, we put one of the bassinet sheet protectors on the living room floor and put him down in his birthday suit. Which he LOVED...until he peed. But then he got a bath, which is fun, so it was all good. Next morning, diaper rash was mostly gone.

Daniel has almost rolled over from back to front on a few occasions. He's not trying; he doesn't know he's doing it. He'll look over his shoulder and see something he wants to look at. Then he'll reach for it, which sometimes necessitates arching his back and leaning. Ending up on his side is just a serendipitous coincidence. But if you think about it...most of what we take for granted about our lives probably came about by accident.

He dared a visit to the mall after work...which included supper at a sit-down restaurant while his dinner time was approaching. He got bored, though. Daddy had to take him for a walk so Mommy could finish her salad. But, he was otherwise happy with all the new things to look at. He waited patiently until we got home to eat. And he even sang himself to sleep later on.
Also this week, Daniel got his appetite back. On Friday, he frightened Ms. Crystal by drinking 9 oz in one feeding.
