Twenty-One Weeks

I want that.

Thanks Mommy!

This week, Daniel had hives, flirted with Mrs. Victoria (baby Tyler's mom), and ate off a spoon.

The hives were interesting. There were five total, and they would take turns popping up. At first we thought they were mosquito bites, but they would go away after a half hour or so. Hives generally indicate an allergy, but the nurse was confused by the total lack of other symptoms. She talked to the doctor and he said to watch for breathing trouble and to bring him in immediately if he starts having problems. Duh. He hasn't had a hive in almost 30 hours (but as I say that 6 have popped up on his legs at the same time. Still, Daniel doesn't have a clue.) Ms. Crystal thinks it might have been the cleaning solution from when they shampooed the nursery carpet last weekend. Doesn't explain why its happening at home...but who in the hell knows how allergies work.

Daniel's feedings are a little screwed up right now. The rice cereal carries him a little farther than formula. Friday, I fed him at the normal time and he ate even though he didn't seem interested. Finished 6 oz, then threw up about 2 of them in the car just as we were pulling out of the driveway. Had to stop, change his clothes, clean his carseat. Two hours later, he eats 7 oz. Then last night, we fed him a tablespoon of cereal. He ate 5 oz of his bottle afterwards. About half an hour later, up comes another oz or so. This morning, he waited until 6 am to eat. I started him off at 4 oz. He cried for more and sucked down another 2 oz like it was nothing.

Today, we're going to go to BabysRUs and get a special toy that Daniel likes to play with at the nursery. We think it will be a fun thing for him to play with in New York.
