Daniel turned 8 weeks old today, and what a day it was.
We had breakfast at Louie's, then drove around and looked at the pretty houses around the LSU lakes. Then we went back home and had a bottle before heading over to the shops at Perkin's Rowe. We bought Dr. Seuss books at Barnes and Nobels. Then we hit some sales at the Tanger Outlet mall where we bought clothes for next fall. Later, after we sat through some odd bumper-to-bumper traffic leaving Tanger, we went to Andrew and Melissa's house. Craig and Janine are in town visiting for Easter. Daniel got a little fussy at Melissa's. We had our daily "diaper change marathon" and a bottle and a short nap before going to The Chimes for dinner. There, pooped from the long day out of the house, Daniel got very cranky. He had another bottle and another diaper change and another short nap. Then we came home, where he went to bed happily (but not as quickly as expected).
He is now sleeping soundly, perhaps dreaming of all the new, strange and wonderful things he saw today.
